Public tracking that leads to shame. Scanning for what’s wrong instead of noticing what’s right. Expecting skills a child hasn’t learned yet. Punishing dysregulation instead of supporting regulation. An effective behavior system looks different. It drives motivation, not shame. It’s private, discrete, and protects dignity.
