What is onset rime and how does it help my child read? ✨SAVE this post for later✨ We know that our learners need to hear manipulate sounds before connecting them to print therefore onset rime is when we intentionally break apart the word into two parts. Part 1️⃣ Onset, the initial final logical unit other word before a vowel. It can be both a single consonant, blend or digraph.
