Could we soon lower cholesterol for life with just one treatment? Results from our Phase 1 clinical trial found a gene editing therapy safely reduced “bad” cholesterol in people with lipid disorders resistant to current medications. The results were presented at #AHA25 and simultaneously published in the New England Journal of Medicine. The trial included 15 patients. It found both LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels were substantially reduced within two weeks and stayed at low levels for at
